To make a city which is having the adequate essence of life with a basic foundation like a decent and sustainable atmosphere through the utilization of some clear solutions. Using the latest technologies and data improving the circumstances of the people surrounding us.

A Smart City is a name given to the city which consolidates the information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve the status and performance of the urban services such as electricity, transportation services, wastage related services, etc. The principal purpose of the smart city is to magnify the status of living for its people by the latest technologies.

“Mark Deakin defines it as a city that utilizes ICT to meet the demands of its citizens, and that community involvement in the processes is a necessity for a smart city.”

Technologies widely used in Smart City

Information and Communication Technology

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is the infrastructure and elements that allow modern computing. It's used to implement the strategies and to handle and deliver the information to the different users. The wide usage of ICT enhances the importance of the smart city toward managing and communicating information and knowledge, transforming daily life.

Internet of Things

One of the technology behind the success of the smart city is the Internet of Things (IoT). It’s a theory that the objects are connected through networks of wired and wireless without any user interruption. The objects are connected and exchanging information or data to give sensible services to users. Strengthen the physical and the digital data through data analytics, improving the efficiency, drives the economic advantages, and enhancing the livings.

Geospatial Technology

Geospatial is used to define the group of data and associated with technology that has a geographic or locational component. With help of accurate and brief data able to build a plan about the smart city. Geospatial technology is applied in many systems like electricity, transportation, water supply, public safety, healthcare, education, etc. It shows the exact location, based on the need so that a good solution can be applied. Geospatial technology is not only improving the performance of the smart city but also enabling collaboration during the planning, construction, and monitoring of the smart city infrastructure.

Sensor

The sensor is a significant component of any smart city system. An array of sensors are implemented and getting the required data. Smart city able to provide an efficient and smart environment for people by placing the sensors. Sensors are used to share the information and giving a decent use to the public. More sensors are used in the smart city and continuously evaluating the technology. Sensors convert the parameters of reality into an electronic signal which are performed by humans, for example, light, temperature, weather, humidity etc.

Artificial Intelligence

In smart cities, digital innovations are generating an enormous amount of data that should be processed to get the information in return. Sensors on-road and street, a climate station, local stations, reports from police, healthcare reports may make more of raw data, here comes the artificial intelligence to handle the data.
Machine-to-machine interactions by processing the data make sense and getting the information. By humans, it's difficult to view, process, and analyze the raw data, here we are using AI deep learning. Artificial Intelligence performs the biggest role in traffic management and healthcare facilities.

Benefits of Smart City

Smart city technology can improve a city's function further efficiently while enhancing duties to residents and businesses, with numerous extra benefits.

• Big data applications and strategies contribute to a city with more information to recognize and  staff police in more risky areas.

• Introducing digital services makes the smart city more attractive to live in.

• Leading technology progress and seeking private/public assistance help reduce criminal activity and enhance safer communities.

• Transportation is expected to rise up to 25% annually over the next five years of smart city implementation. Smart cities are allowed to serve the city in the best of traffic management, the ability to track the bus and train locations, etc.

• Ensuring digital equity, everyone must have access to high-speed internet services with affordable devices.

• Improving the infrastructure for a living, smart technology helping us to identify the areas that need to fixed before there is an infrastructure failure.
