End of Support: Reasons for migrating from NAV to Business Central and upgrading to Microsoft’s latest ERP solution

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, which is a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system developed by Microsoft. It is a comprehensive solution for small and medium-sized businesses that provides a range of tools for managing various aspects of a business, such as accounting, inventory management, project management, and sales and marketing.

As of 10 January 2023, all versions of Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) will cease mainstream support. Dynamics NAV 2013 and 2013 R2 are also not covered by Extended Support. After that, your NAV instances will only receive security updates until the end of the extended support period

At NAV, Microsoft's life cycle policy is to support each version of a solution for 10 years. The first five years are mainstream support, and the last five years are extended support.

Mainstream Support:  The product receives new features, security updates, and non-security updates.

Extended Support: Products receive security updates only.
