Apple has sent out media invitations for a special event on September 12, 2018, at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park Campus in Cupertino, California with a tagline “Gather Round” as a teaser referencing the new main ring-shaped building at Apple Park. Apple is expected to announce new iPhones and redesigned Apple Watch.

iPhone X(s)

Apple is expected to introduce three iPhones this year: a second-generation 5.8-inch OLED device, a larger-screened 6.5-inch OLED device, and a lower-cost 6.1-inch smartphone with an LCD display.

All three iPhones are expected to feature upgraded A12 processors, faster LTE, edge-to-edge displays, and Face ID integration, with Apple doing away with the Home button for its entire 2018 iPhone lineup.

Apple Watch Series 4

Apple is expected to announce a new redesigned Apple Watch with a new design focused on increasing the screen size — possibly without increasing the overall casing. The new watch may also have solid-state buttons and improved heart rate detection.

iOS 12

Apple is expected to release iOS 12 for the public during this event and it is expected to have tons of improvements doubled down on performance, working from top to bottom to make iPhones and iPads faster and more responsive. Customizable Memoji, new Camera effects, smarter Siri voice assistant, shortcuts feature, Grouped notifications, time management toolsmith App Limits, better battery status tools, and improvements to built-in apps.

Mac OS Mojave

Apple has been running the beta for the upcoming new macOS Mojave with loads of features: Better performance, new system-wide dark mode, dynamic desktop wallpapers, desktop stacks for better files organization, screenshots with edit tools, ported iOS apps coming to Mac Desktop OS, Better security and improved Safari is also expected to be announced to the public during the event.

iPad, Macs, Airpower and more

Apple has been rumored to be readying the next-generation iPad with FaceID and slim bezel for an end-to-end design similar to iPhone X with no home button.  But it is not confirmed if Apple will announce this device now during the September 12 event or not. Similarly, the new MacBook Air with new processor upgrades and Retina display, Mac mini, and iMacs are expected as well. Apple is also rumored to be readying a Qi wireless charge pad named AirPower there is speculation Apple might announce this during the event as well. New generation AirPods are also expected.
